BESTINFLEXO PRIZE 2015: Winners of the first edition of the prize announced

The winners of BestInflexo have been officially proclaimed. This prize was conceived and promoted by ATIF for the purpose of improving the quality of flexographic printing and thus promoting the systematic adoption of the parameters that the Association has been diffusing for quite some time in favour of an improvement and a greater standardization of the processes.

Around 60 entries were submitted in this first edition.
All the printers in nomination were invited to the awards ceremony held in Bologna on the evening of 10th November last, the eve of Flexo Day 2015:  Bioplast, Cartotecnica Postumia, Collotype Labels Italia, Gammapack, Ipi, Lamp S. Prospero, Lic Packaging, Maca, Minova Labels, Mondi Ipi, Sacchettificio Nazionale G. Corazza, Smurfit Kappa Italia/Lunata and Toppazzini.

Upon proclamation of the winners the trophies were awarded by representatives of the companies that gave their support to the competition: BIESSSE, I&C and LOHMANN.

The following firms were awarded a trophy:
narrow web film category: MINOVA LABELS
medium web film category: MACA
wide web film category: BIOPLAST
medium web paper/cartonboard  category: CARTOTECNICA POSTUMIA
wide web paper/cartonboard category: MONDI IPI
wide web post-print corrugated board category: TOPPAZZINI.

In addition, the BestinFlexo 2015 Jury recognized two firms with special mentions:
COLLOTYPE LABELS ITALIA in the narrow web paper/cartonboard category and
SMURFIT KAPPA ITALIA/LUNATA in the medium web post-print corrugated board category.
All the entries were exhibited in a show at Flexo Day 2015.
The winners of each category will be officially entered in the prize competition that FTA EUROPE (the European Technical Association of Flexography) has scheduled in 2016 on the occasion of DRUPA.
